Be Careful About The Candles You Burn

Burning your favourite scent as a way of indulging in some much-needed 'me time' is a real treat.

But if you don't do your homework, you could actually be doing yourself more harm than good.

Choose a cheap imported paraffin wax candle and, instead of filling the room with the floral notes and healing essential oils you'd intended, you could be loading the atmosphere around you with toxins. Not good.

Paraffin wax candles are made using by-products from the petrolium industry and, when burned, give off soot and fumes similar to those emitted from a diesel engine. Research has found that the toxins can be as poisonous to humans as second-hand cigarette smoke. So far, so off-putting.

Thankfully, not all candles are created equal.

Timeless Candles are made using only EcoSystem Soy Wax®, a sustainable and entirely natural material made from 100 per cent soybean oil.

We opted to only use soy wax because, as a natural, renewable resource, it's kinder to the environment and kinder to us.

Our candles are smoke-free and biodegradable - any residue will clean up with just plain old soap and water.

Our decision to use soy wax was also a quality issue - it has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and burns slower and longer, giving your candle an extended burn time, making it much longer lasting.

Soy wax also provides the ideal carrier for our fragrance blends. Their consistency gives a purer scent throw and more even fragrance distribution.

Healthy for the environment, healthy for you and representing much better value for money than the toxic alternatives, there really is no better choice.
